The Women’s Business Summit of Southwest Oklahoma was developed in partnership with the Great Plains Technology Center Business Development Center, Arvest Bank, REI Women’s Business Center, and a host of local businesses in a collaboration to create a women’s conference for southwest Oklahoma region business professionals. Breakfast items and lunch will be provided, and there will be a variety of women owned business vendors.

We are beyond excited to have Tavian Harris as our keynote speaker at the Summit. Mrs. Harris is an award-winning leader and the founder and Executive Director of Seasons of Change Inc. (SOC), a grassroots organization she established in 2001 and incorporated in 2010. Under her leadership, SOC has been awarded $28 million from 2010 to 2024 to support its mission of collaborating with community partners to implement evidence-based programs. These programs provide youth and families with the skills and resources needed to make healthy choices and become self-sufficient leaders.

Mrs. Harris manages and oversees a large team, including seventy-four staff members, approximately twelve Independent Contractors, and ninety-five C.A.R.E. Willing Workers. These volunteers are committed to supporting positive youth development programs for the communities’ highest-risk and most vulnerable youth populations.

With nearly 25 years of experience in community and faith-based organizations, Mrs. Harris has provided a wide range of services, including career and leadership development coaching, mentoring, abstinence education, non-profit entrepreneurship development, and workforce development. Tavian Harris is the co-author and certified master trainer of the evidence-based Possessing Your Power (PYP) curriculum, which is listed on the 2018 HHS Teen Pregnancy Prevention Evidence Review as meeting the criteria for effectiveness.  VIEW FULL BIO
